Find the Real Reason You’re Not Writing

You haven’t given up. Some part of you still wants this—that writing life, that dream. But something’s been… off.

You think about writing more than you actually write.

Maybe you’ve stopped sitting down like you used to. Or you are opening the laptop, but nothing really happens. You plan to make progress, but then the day disappears again.

And it’s not just time. It’s you, right? At least that’s what your inner critic keeps saying:

  • You’re not disciplined enough.
  • You’re not inspired.
  • You’re too tired or too behind or maybe just not cut out for this.

The truth? Your procrastination has a root. And you can find it.

There’s an internal conflict—often hidden—that’s been pulling you away from writing, while another part of you keeps trying to pull you back. This quiz can help you finally see it.

It’s based on my research into 13 distinct types of writer procrastination. But instead of dumping all the data on you at once, it helps you uncover your core writing conflict—the psychological pattern quietly sabotaging your progress.
